The three states of water

Victoria Day-Wilson’s Aqua Vita is a project with a simple premise; to examine and record photographically the changed status of water, from solid, to liquid, to gas. Day-Wilson’s study is both objective and abstract, most notably by excluding everything bar her subject from her photographic vision. Her sometimes closely cropped photographs transform the subject with revelatory images depicting calmness, beauty and energy. Our life, environment and bodies are governed by water, the transubstantiation of this life-giver is a captivating magic that Day-Wilson pays reverence to in this body of work.
